Prolong Your Bathing Suit
Rinse your bathing suit in cold water after swimming to remove any salt or chlorine residues. It's preferable to wash your bathing suit by hand, but if you'd rather use the washer, put it in the gentle cycle with a mild soap. Don't put it in the dryer, as the dryer will damage the elasticity. Of all things to have destroyed elasticity, a bathing suit should never be one of them. Dry them by placing them over a towel and rolling it up like a sushi. Then gently squeeze the towel. Don't twist or wring the suit around, which could also break down the elastic.
