Apples with Peanut Butter
What a novel concept! Apple slices smeared with peanut butter gives it a yummy twist. Plus it tears peanut butter away from the boring peanut butter and jam with bread illusion.

Filipino-style Apples
If you're looking for a new way to enjoy a classic snack such as apples, consider eating it Filipino style. It's a little unconventional for many of us, and it is an acquired taste, but I think it's worth the experience. Slice apples into wedges and drizzle with white distilled vinegar and a little salt. It's a pungent and acidic sharp flavor that's unique. It has a bite to it, and I really like it.

Preventing Apple Oxidation
When apples are exposed, it starts to brown. That's called an oxidative process. To prevent this from happening, soak them in salted water overnight. When I was a child, my mother was the only one who packed apples that still looked appetizing. She would cut my apples the night before, leave them in the salt water overnight, and dry them before packing them up. It's a great way to store your kids' snacks and actually encourage them to eat it because it looks fresh!
